This is the Catedral Nueva, or New Cathedral, on which construction was started in the year 1513 but not finished for over 200 years. The intricate details of the building’s façade are noteworthy, especially for the students, as one of their questions on the gincana(scavenger hunt) required them to find (and take a picture of!) the astronauta who was curiously added to the decoration during the restoration of the cathedral in 1992.
