After Segovia and Salamanca, what's next?

Looking ahead, apart from our picnic with the host families and students, we’ve got quite the busy week as we continue to prepare for our end-of-program despedida. Everyone is busy learning their lines for the plays and their songs for the choir, but we still have plenty of time for fun (and ice cream!) Friday’s excursion will take us to the cities of Oviedo and Gijón, both located in the northern province of Asturias. Oviedo, the capital of the Asturias, is known for its beautiful green scenery while Gijón, about 16 miles away, is known for its beach – a trip that the students are certainly looking forward to! Also, due to popular demand, we will be offering an ‘optional’ excursion for the students on Sunday afternoon to León’s very own modern art museum, known locally as the MUSAC.
