Oviedo - Las estatuas (The statues)

Although there are more than 100 statues located throughout Oviedo, we had just enough time to visit a few. Shown here are the "La Regenta" (be sure to ask your student about the story behind this! It involves a creative writer, a forbidden book and a love triangle!), "Maternidad" (by Colombian artist Fernando Botero), "Woody Allen" (who has a very interesting connection to the city) and of course, the "Culis Monumentalibus."
